Education for Transitional Justice, Reconciliation, and Peacebuilding: the Case of Colombia

Picture© Garnett Russell
Funded by an INEE E-3 Grant, this three-year project explores the case of Colombia, which signed a peace agreement in 2016 after more than five decades of armed conflict. Through the use of mixed research methods data collected across three regions, this study investigates how transitional justice processes are incorporated within the education system and how teachers and students understand and engage with concepts related to transitional justice and peacebuilding. Findings from our policy report are available in both English and Spanish.

Check out the International & Comparative Education Program website to learn more about how the research team
co-developed the findings and the policy report.
